Meet Mike Flynt (Juice Plus+ Rep)

Mike Flynt, the 59-year-old 'Senior' helps team win after
37-year football layoff
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- Don Yaeger, a four-time New York Times best
selling author, saw his 15th book released nationally this
week. "The Senior," written by Mike Flynt and Yaeger, details
the inspirational story of Flynt's return to play college
football after four decades.
At 59 years old, Flynt was supposed to be slowing down.
Instead, he was determined to mend an old wound and inspire
others. In the summer of 2007, Mike, accompanied by his wife
Eileen, packed their belongings and returned to Sul Ross State
University in West Texas for his senior season, 37 years after
he was kicked out of school and off the Lobos' football team.
"I was personally inspired by Mike's courage and faith. He
proved that the past does not have to define a person's
future," Yaeger said.
Flynt was eight years older than his head coach and competed
against players younger than two of his children.
"With every opportunity I now have, I stress to people that
it's never too late to tackle your dreams," Flynt said.
NBA superstar LeBron James penned the foreword from "The
Senior," published by Thomas Nelson. "Mike never gave up that
dream, even at age fifty-nine," James wrote. "He never allowed
anyone to take away that dream, no matter how old he was or
what he went through, and that's why I was so inspired by his
determination."
ESPN's Jim Rome has called it "one of the best sports stories I
have ever seen. An all-timer."
