Encouragement is such an important part of life, and it's so vital for
success in our business. It is also a common attribute of all great leaders.
One of my biblical heroes and leadership role models (after Jesus himself) is Barnabas, whose
name meant "Son of Encouragement". He was an outstanding
encourager and example of servant leadership and mentoring. Here are all of the (33)
verses in the New Testament that mention Barnabas - it gives a fascinating
picture of this "good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith":

I am NOT a good
Leader - I probably need another 60 years to get anywhere close! Borrowing from Paul’s words in Philippians 3:12-14
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made
perfect, but … I press on toward the goal.”
I’m just
“pressing on”, growing and learning all the time.
